Brew Guide: Hario Cold Brewer, 1000ml
This Cold Brewer produces sweet, smooth coffee when it’s poured over ice, a welcome respite on those hot, humid days. You can store leftover coffee in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
What You Need:
Hario Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker
115g coffee, medium ground
Cold water
Measure and Grind:
Place 115 grams of medium ground coffee into the mesh filter. Weigh out 1,000 grams of cold water and set aside.
Prepare to Brew:
Set the mesh filter into the carafe. Add enough cold water through the filter to saturate all of the coffee and stir. Add the remaining cold water directly to the carafe.
Steep:
Secure the lid on the carafe and place in the refrigerator. Allow to steep for 18 hours.
Remove the Carafe:
Remove the mesh filter from the carafe and discard the spent grounds.
Serve:
Pour cold-brewed coffee over ice and enjoy. Makes 4-4.5 cups of coffee.
