Crème Brûlée exquisitely defines a dessert-flavored gourmet coffee with taste qualities as notable as its elegant after-dinner namesake. Much effort goes into creating the world-famous dessert. A made-from-scratch custard base graced with a layer of caramelized sugar requires considerable skill to achieve. Created with a similar attention to detail, our Crème Brûlée coffee suggests similar butter-cream notes for a richly textured cup of sweet surrender. Iced Caramel Macchiato Recipe
       
        2 shots espresso or 1/4 cup double-strength Crème Brûlée coffee, chilled
1-2 tbsp vanilla syrup (see recipe below)
1 cup cold milk
1-2 tbsp caramel syrup (see recipe below)
Crushed ice
Whipped cream and caramel sundae syrup, optional

Pour the vanilla and caramel syrups into a 16 oz glass. Add the cold milk. Fill the glass with ice so that it nearly reaches the top. Pour the chilled coffee over the top. If this is done correctly, the coffee will only mix with about half of the milk and ice. Crown with whipped cream and drizzle on the remaining caramel sauce.

Vanilla Syrup
1 cup water
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Bring water and sugar to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and cool. Store in a covered container.

Caramel Syrup
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 cup water
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Bring water, sugar, and milk to a boil. Simmer for 6 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and cool. Store in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to two weeks.
   
Crème Brûlée yields a beautifully transparent cup of drip coffee when the automatic drip or the manual drip method is used. Other fine brewing options are the French press or the vacuum pot. Both methods pull flavorful oils into the brew resulting in an extraordinary coffee of medium to full body (depending on the brewing method used), rich aromatics, and sweetly dense flavor.

for Decaf
   
     
       
    The French press is the best brewing method for all decaf gourmet coffees. The press will accentuate Crème Brûlée Decaf’s flavor and aroma, qualities that are harmed by the decaffeination process. The vacuum pot is also a good match for decaf since it intensifies a coffee's varietal flavor. French Coffee Recipe
       
         
       
         

2 cup strong freshly brewed Crème Brûlée
(brew with 50% more coffee grounds)
1/2 hot cream
Whipped cream
Ground cinnamon

Heat cream and add to freshly brewed coffee. Pour into coffee cup. Add a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle lightly with ground cinnamon.
